What we mean by a disciple

A disciple is someone who is learning to trust and follow Jesus, becoming like Him, and helping others do the same.

Belong

You were made for community. Find a place in the life and community of the church where you are known, welcomed, connected, and able to know others.

Believe

You were made for the truth. Learn who Jesus is, understand the gospel, grow through Scripture, and learn to trust and follow Him.

Become

You were made to become like Jesus. Be formed into the character and way of Jesus through the Holy Spirit, Scripture, worship, community, repentance, and obedience.

Build

You were made to make a difference. Use your gifts to serve others, strengthen the church, make disciples, and participate in God’s mission in our city and world.

A pathway, not a finish line

Belong leads toward Believe, Believe toward Become, and Become toward Build. Build returns to Belong because maturing disciples help other people find a place in the community of Jesus.
