What we believe

Historic Christian faith, lived with conviction and grace.

We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, that He died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, reigns as Lord, and will return. We believe salvation is received through faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit forms and empowers God’s people, the Bible is God’s authoritative Word, and the church is sent to make disciples of all nations.

01

God

There is one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternal, holy, loving, and worthy of our worship.

02

Jesus Christ

Jesus is fully God and fully human. He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily, reigns as Lord, and will return.

03

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit indwells, guides, teaches, gifts, empowers, and forms His fruit in believers, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

04

Scripture

The Bible is God’s authoritative Word and the trustworthy foundation for faith and life.

05

Humanity, sin, and salvation

Humanity was created in God’s image and became separated from Him through sin. Salvation is provided through Jesus Christ; those who repent and believe are justified by grace through faith, born again by the Holy Spirit, and adopted as God’s children.

06

Life in the Spirit

God calls every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit, set apart for Him, and empowered for holy living and effective service. This deeper life is both a decisive surrender and an ongoing work of grace.

07

Healing

The redemptive work of Jesus provides for the healing of the whole person. Scripture teaches the church to pray for the sick and to practice anointing with oil.

08

The church and mission

The church is made up of those who belong to Jesus. Local churches gather for worship, Scripture, prayer, fellowship, baptism, the Lord’s Supper, loving one another, and proclaiming the gospel in word and deed.

09

Resurrection and Christ’s return

All people will be raised, and Jesus will judge with perfect justice. His return will be personal and visible, giving believers hope and calling us to holy living and faithful service.

The Fourfold Gospel

Jesus: Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King.

These four names summarize the Christ-centered spiritual heritage of The Alliance: Jesus saves, makes His people holy, invites the church to pray for healing, and will return as King.
